Grievance Redressal Cell
The Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) aims to look into the complaints lodged by any student and redress it as per requirement. The students can state their grievance regarding any academic and non- academic matter within the campus through the online and grievance/ suggestion box. The institution aims at solving the grievances of the students within stipulated tacademic and non- academic matter within the campus through the online and grievance/ suggestion box. Objectives :
The Grievance Redressal Cell has been developed to settle the grievances of the students and other stakeholders within a reasonable time period for further strengthening the bond of the students with the institution by providing them with all kind of facilities to a satisfaction level for maintaining a convenient ambience of academic teaching and learning.

Mechanism of the GRC-
- 1. Grievance redressal committee (GRC) shall consider only individual grievances of specific nature of students and staff.
- 2. The GRC shall not consider any grievance of general applicability or of collective nature of raised collectively by more than one employee/student.
- 3. Post receipt of the complaint/application the committee will decide on the merit of case regarding scope of further discussion investigation and act promptly.
- 4. The GRC may mediate between complainant and defendant against who the complaint has been made, it required.
- 5. GRC shall consider redressing of grievances within a reasonable time.
- 6. The cell will give report to the authority about the cases attended to and seek guidance from the higher authorities if required.
Scope :
The students may lodge grievance about any academic and non- academic matters related to -
- Timely issue of duplicate Mark-sheets, Transfer Certificates, Conduct Certificates or other examination and scholarship related matters.
- to dues and payments for various items from the library, hostels and other financial matters.
- certain misgivings about conditions of sanitation, preparation of food, availability of transport, victimization by teachers and any other offensive activity.

- a) To develop a policy against sexual harassment of women at the Institute.
- b) To develop a mechanism for the prevention and redressal of sexual harassment cases and other acts of gender based violence at the Institute.
- c) To maintain the commitment of the Institute to provide an environment free of gender-based discrimination.
- d) To create a secure physical and social environment to deter any act of sexual harassment.
According to THE SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT THE WORKPLACE (PREVENTION, PROHIBITION AND REDRESSAL) ACT 2013, sexual harassment includes any one or more of the following unwelcome acts or behavior (whether directly or by implication) namely:
- Physical contact and advances
- A demand or request for sexual favors
- Making sexually colored remarks
- Showing pornography
- Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature.
Functions:
- a) To develop a mechanism for registering complaints which should be safe, accessible, and sensitive.
- b) To take cognisance of complaints about sexual harassment, conduct enquiries, provide assistance and redressal to the victims, recommend disciplinary action or take immediate action against the harasser, if necessary.
- c) To follow-up action and monitor the same.
- d) To recommend the college authority to provide assistance to the complainant if she so chooses to file a complaint in relation to the offence under the Indian Penal Code or any other law for the time-being in force.
- e) To recommend the college authority to provide the medical intervention with the consent of the complainant or even without consent in such cases where the complainant is physically or mentally incapacitated to give her consent.
- f) To recommend the college authority to arrange for appropriate psychological, emotional, and physical support (in the form of counselling, security and other assistance) to the victim if she so desires.

As per the UGC guidelines for the establishment of Special Cell for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, MTCA initiated the establishment of the SC/ST Cell for the improvement of the Academics, Employment & Entrepreneurial opportunities and Welfare of the SC/ST students.

FUNCTIONING OF SC/ST CELL
To promote higher education among these two communities suffering economic, social and educational deprivations.Monitor the working of the remedial coaching scheme; Function as a Grievances Redressal Cell for the grievances of SC/ST students and employees of the MTCA and render them necessary help in solving their academic as well as administrative problems.
ACTIVITIES OF SC/ST CELL
The SC/ST Cell is established in the MTCA to undertake the activities to develop awareness among the SC/ST students, especially from the rural areas. The staffs of the Cell actively engage in coordinating and habituating this environment. They also announce details of government scholarships and fellowships through circulars to the SC/ST students.
The SC/ST cell monitors the following activities of MTCA
The SC/ST Cell gives wide publicity through circulars to all the students about the various scholarships; namely, Post-Metric Scholarship, AP Higher Education Scholarship schemes, any other scholarships and fellowships.
The SC/ST Cell takes up the problems of the SC/ST students and employees with the MTCA authorities and divert the same to Grievances and redressal Cell – MTCA to solve the issue.
The Cell takes due care in monitoring the Book Bank and Book Grants for the SC/ST students on the central library – MTCA and monitor the utilisation. The Cell also advises the students to utilise the facilities of the Book Bank and to borrow books depending on availability.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES OF CELL
Post-Admission Orientation
The Cell provides post-admission orientation.to the students admitted in various programmes. The main focus is on the course curriculum, selection of optional subjects, and the whole new multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment that they are to face on the campus and various facilities available to them.
Capacity Building Sessions
Arranges Language classes for students to improve communication skills and proficiency of language.Conducts programmes on ‘Personality Development’.
Provides Career counselling to the studentsArranges Computer classes to the students to enhance their skills in operating the computer.
Remedial/Co-Curricular Coaching
Conducts remedial/co-curricular classes in the following areas depending upon the students’ interest:
- Language classes for English and Foreign Languages
- Skill workshops for use of the library, writing an assignment, making presentation in class, public speaking, job selection and job interviews,
- Orientation on scholarships available for higher studies.
GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL
The SC/ST students and Employees can approach the Liaison Officer of the Cell for redressal of any of their grievance(s) regarding academic, administrative or social problems. The Liaison Officer often meets the concerned students and staff to understand their problems, submit the reports to Principal/Grievances and Redressal Cell (GRC) for further necessary action/necessary advice/help to resolve the matter

A written complaint may be submitted to the Liaison Officer, SC/ST Cell. Any student and employee (including contractual, casual and temporary) of MTCA can approach the Cell.

INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL
GOALS
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has been formed with the objective of “Enhancing and ensuring the quality of academic and administrative performance of the institution”.
OBJECTIVES
The primary aim of IQAC is
- To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
- To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
FUNCTIONS
Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are:
- Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution;
- Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
- Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes;
- Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education;
- Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;
- Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement;
- Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices;
- Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality;
- Development of Quality Culture in the institution;
- Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.
